SiftSafe is a Chrome extension for Gmail on desktop. Install it from the Chrome Web Store when available, open the SiftSafe side panel, and connect the Gmail account you want to scan. Outlook, Yahoo, mobile browsers, and other email providers are not supported in V1.
Can SiftSafe delete emails automatically?
No. A scan only produces recommendations. Nothing starts selected, and protected messages cannot be selected for cleanup. You review and explicitly confirm the messages to move to Gmail Trash. SiftSafe never permanently deletes messages.
Why does it need Gmail permissions?
Read access lets the extension scan message metadata and build your review groups. Permission to modify Gmail is requested separately when you start cleanup, so it can move approved messages to Trash and support Undo. Your Google access token stays in the extension and is never sent to SiftSafe servers or Jev.
What information is sent to Jev?
SiftSafe sends minimized, sanitized classification features through its decision service to Jev. These can include a sender domain, redacted subject features, age, locale, and protection signals. Can I undo a cleanup?
Yes, from cleanup history while Gmail still retains those messages in Trash and the local recovery records remain available. Undo for previous cleanups stays available after Deep Clean expires. Uninstalling the extension or resetting local data removes local Undo history; messages still in Trash can also be restored directly in Gmail.
Is Deep Clean a subscription?
No. Deep Clean is a one-time $5.99 purchase for seven days of access, with no automatic renewal. It unlocks full mailbox scanning, review, bulk Move to Trash, and Undo history. Applicable taxes appear at checkout. Purchase it inside the extension once paid access is available.
What happens if a scan is interrupted?
SiftSafe saves progress locally so you can resume a paused scan in the extension. A connection issue or an uncertain AI result does not authorize cleanup. If a cleanup only partly succeeds, its history records what changed so recovery can address that batch.
